Regarded as one of Pro Arte’s most prestigious ranges, the Connoisseur series was designed using a mix of Sable and Synthetic hair to allow the brush to hold lots of colour while still retaining a sharp and responsive point. This makes it the perfect watercolour and gouache brush for both painting fine details while still being able to cover large areas. By using a specific mix of hairs, the connoisseur brushes are able to perform as well as a pure sable, just at a fraction of the price.

The flat brush head can either be used for colour blocking and filling in areas, large background washes or by using the brush on its side, thin lines and edges. Larger sizes can paint background washes and wet on wet techniques with watercolour and gouache.
