As Pro Arte’s first development in synthetic hair, Prolene was created as a substitute to delicate natural hairs making it the perfect brush for watercolour, gouache and watered down acrylic paints. The soft hairs mimic natural properties as they can absorb large amounts of colour while still pulling to a sharp and responsive point.

The set includes a nice mix of round brushes that can be used for fine details, thin lines and even broader strokes when more pressure is applied. A mid size flat brush is also included for smaller colour blocks and edges.

Prolene is suitable for professionals and beginners alike due to hard wearing and durable fibres that are able to withstand frequent use. This has allowed the range to be Pro Arte’s flagship brush for over 30 years!
